My New (Used) Car

My New (Used) Car My Big Juicy Trunk Me in My Wheelz My Sister's New Puppy

As I posted on Twitter yesterday, I’m finally mobile again! After a few months without a car… I learned to appreciate what it is to have a car. Given that I’m kind of a hermit, I didn’t think not having one would be as bothersome as it ended up to be. But now. Relief.

I went and picked up my car yesterday (a Mazda 6 or as I like to think of her; the great, great, great, great, etc daughter of my last car).  My first trip was out to see my sister and her new puppy, Emma. I am used to taking weekly trips out to her place (sort of in the middle of no where) and it had been quite a few weeks so it was great to see her. And Emma is so precious! I kept trying to get a decent shot of her but she spent the time I was there jumping around and biting my thumb before she passed out. I included a size-comparison picture 😉 I told my sister to use a quarter but she insisted on the Sprite bottle.

Ah, I’m free again! (Which pretty much means free to get spontaneous fast food again as that’s the main use of my vehicle.)

New Member Applications

I’m all caught up with newest batch of member submissions and everyone granted access has now been added to the member site and emailed. I do these manually for security reasons and sometimes it takes me awhile to get to your submission, so I apologize for delays.

If you submitted a membership form and did not receive an email, I suppose first make sure you’re not receiving me as spam (email: missmaryjane at echoside dot net). Some submissions are rejected due to suspicious site activity (or really anything I deem suspicious). I don’t tend to email these individuals back so if you didn’t get your confirmation email, that was very likely intentional. If you think there has been an error of any kind, you can feel free to contact me but keep in mind, regardless of anything, my word is final! Mwahaha!

Review: Wet n Wild H₂O Proof Liquid Eyeliner

I have a favorite eyeliner. I don’t expect to find anything better but due to budgeting sometimes, I stray and I buy something cheaper to try out. This time, it was Wet n Wild’s liquid eyeliner. It’s been awhile since I felt ballsy enough to screw with WnW beyond lipstick but this was under four bucks so what the hell, right?

Wet n Wild H₂O Proof Liquid Eyeliner

When I pulled the wand out, it was a bit… Stringy? Seems weird but that’s the best way to describe it and to avoid messiness, I scraped off the excess on the side of the bottle opening.

The picture doesn’t exactly do the “stringiness” justice but you can see it there on the end. It was worse when I initially pulled it out.

Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner Swatch in "Black-Brown"

Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner Swatch in “Black-Brown”

I’m not sure what’s brown about this eyeliner but “black-brown” is the shade.

The application was horrible. To make the swatch, I sort of angled the wand and swiped. It wouldn’t swatch well with the tip and it was particularly pointy. This pointy-ass tip is a little painful if you try to line your eyes with the thinnest part–or applying it directly without angling. Not only is it slightly painful but if you try to line that way, you will not get a nice, solid line at all. I got a faint line (at best) that was darker on the edges than in the middle. No good.

Price: ~$4.00

Availability: Drug stores, Target, Walmart, you know… Everywhere.

Just Make it Look Like You Put in Effort!

I was looking in my fridge for something delicious but it’s basically a storage of condiments 95% of the time. I did have a piece of plain cheesecake and I’d been looking for a sweet Reese’s Spreads pairing that wasn’t too sweet… So I did something really super simple but it sort of looks as though more effort was put in than went in.

Here is Plain Cheesecake.

Here is Plain Cheesecake.

I added these guys:

Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Spread & Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

Using one of my flexible ice cube trays, I filled one with Reese’s spread and scraped off the excess with a knife. Then froze it for about an hour.

Turn tray inside out to pop out the heart and voilà! Simplicity at its finest.

Mmmmm. Spread that tastes like a Reese’s Cup was a really good idea.

And then drizzle. Because that makes it serious business.

Yup. Then I presented it to myself to eat 😉

I received the Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Spread from Influenster for review purposes but the opinions and words are my own, always.
